MASSAGE THERAPIST

CMTPT, LMT

Jason Stein, CMTPT, LMT is a licensed and board-certified clinical massage therapist and a certified myofascial trigger point therapist. He trained at the Soma Institute for Clinical Massage Therapy, graduating as valedictorian, and completed advanced training and apprenticeship with renowned myofascial trigger point therapist Sharon Sauer.

Jason specializes in identifying and addressing myofascial trigger points—localized areas of increased muscular tension that may contribute to acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain, restricted movement, and functional limitations. His work emphasizes careful assessment, precise manual techniques, and individualized treatment approaches within the scope of licensed massage therapy.

In addition to hands-on care, Jason places strong emphasis on patient education and self-management strategies. He works with patients to identify perpetuating factors such as posture, movement habits, and repetitive strain, and provides guidance in stretching, movement awareness, and self-care techniques to support longer-term outcomes.

Jason is a founding board member and Vice President of the Myo Foundation, where he collaborates with physicians, researchers, and leading trigger point therapists to advance education and clinical understanding of myofascial pain. He is committed to working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare setting to support patients’ overall function and well-being.
