Yoga for Wellness at the Hobson Institute is designed to support your head, neck, and breathing health. This class combines mindful movement with intentional nasal breathing, helping you build strength, flexibility, and calm. By practicing at least five breaths in each posture and position, you’ll deepen your body awareness while reinforcing the breathing techniques central to our philosophy of whole-person wellness.
Description
At the Hobson Institute, we believe that healthy breathing is the foundation of overall health. This yoga class, adapted from traditional Ashtanga methods, emphasizes linking postures with steady nasal breathing. Each movement is guided by the breath, cultivating strength, flexibility, and mindfulness while regulating the nervous system.
Whether you are new to yoga or have practiced before, the class is accessible for all levels. The focus is not on perfect form but on learning to move with intention, breathe effectively, and improve posture and self-awareness. Yoga complements the therapeutic care you receive at Hobson Institute by supporting recovery, reducing stress, and reinforcing healthier breathing patterns.
