ARIEL FORCIER

PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT

PTA

Ariel Forcier, PTA earned her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Malcolm X College in Chicago in 2022. With a background in outpatient care, she has extensive training by Dr. Jenny Hobson and the Hobson Institute team and is currently pursuing cranial facial certification at the Hobson Institute to further her skills.

Ariel is a dedicated yoga practitioner and teacher with over 12+years of daily practice. Grounded in discipline and self-study, Ariel’s path reflects a long-term commitment to traditional yoga teachings.

Ariel has made multiple trips to Mysore India to study under Guru Sri R. Sharath Jois, the holder of the Ashtanga Yoga lineage. Through this traditional method of study, Ariel received authorization to teach Ashtanga Yoga, carrying forward the responsibility of sharing the practice as it has been passed down through generations.

In addition to lineage based training, Ariel completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training, developing a strong foundation in anatomy, philosophy, and effective teaching methodology. Ariel has also undertaken additional training in yoga philosophy through the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies, deepening her understanding of classical texts  and philosophical foundations of yoga.

Ariel has furthered her yoga education through the Oxygen Advantage breathing training for yoga, integrating functional breathing techniques to support breath efficiency, nervous system regulation, and sustainable practice.

Ariel’s teaching approach honors the traditional roots of Ashtanga Yoga while remaining accessible and student centered. Classes emphasize breath awareness, consistency, and mindful progression, offering practitioners a space to cultivate strength, clarity, and balance both on and off the mat.
