Dr. Michael Gelb, DDS, MS is a world-renowned TMJ and Sleep Specialist with practices in both New York City and White Plains. He received his D.D.S. degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and his M.S. from SUNY at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Gelb is the co-author of “GASP: Airway Health- The Hidden Path to Wellness”, and is the co-founder of both The Foundation for Airway Health and The American Academy of Physiological Medicine and Dentistry. Dr. Hobson discusses with Dr. Gelb the different dental treatments that he has for TMJ/TMD facial pain patients and the airway opening treatments that he provides. Dr. Gelb actively includes physical therapy, myofunctional therapy, and breathing retraining in his treatment plan and understands the importance of all of these parts of the big picture. Dr. Jenny Hobson is a head and neck, TMJ physical therapist, protégé of renowned expert, Dr. Mariano Rocabado. She is known for her treatment of TMJ, sleep disordered breathing, chronic headaches, concussion, neck pain, tinnitus, and postural dysfunctions. Dr. Hobson is trained in myofunctional therapy and is certified in the Buteyko Breathing Method. She treats in-person in Chicago and trains breathing virtually to those in need in the US, Europe and South America through the Hobson Institute.
