Cognitive Impairments can include deficits in focus/attention, memory, executive functioning, planning and sequencing, judgment, reasoning, decision making, etc. 

Symptoms of Cognitive Impairment

  • Issues remembering things 
  • Issues making decisions 
  • Difficulty completing tasks for job
  • Issues completing daily routines or making appointments

Causes for Cognitive Impairment

Can be developmental or due to aging, neurological diseases such as Parkinson’s or Multiple Sclerosis after a stroke, or accident involving brain injury or surgery of some kind. Also can co-occur with other neuro differences like ADHD or Autism Spectrum Disorder.
