DR. JENNY HOBSON

Dr. Jenny Hobson, PT, DPT, MTC, CFC, CMTPT is certified in Manual Therapy, Craniofacial Therapy, Dry Needling, Buteyko Breathing Method.
Dr. Jenny, President and founder of the Hobson Institute, is a European-trained physical therapist with more than 20+ years of experience. She is dedicated to finding solutions to restore head, neck, and jaw mechanics, as well as the tongue and its functions as related to the proper development of the mouth, teeth, and throat.

She is trained or certified in the following:

  • MANUAL THERAPY
  • CRANIOFACIAL THERAPY
  • DRY NEEDLING
  • BUTEYKO BREATHING METHOD
  • MYOFUNCTIONAL THERAPY AND POSTURE
  • LAYNEE RESTORATIVE BREATHING METHOD

Dr. Jenny earned a degree in physical therapy with an emphasis on manual therapy at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam in the Netherlands; completed a clinical residency in advanced orthopedics in Chicago; earned her Manual Therapy Certification, Cranio-facial Certification; and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in Florida.

She is one of a select few to apprentice annually under Dr. Mariano Rocabado, a leading craniofacial, TMJ, neck and spine rehabilitation expert, who entrusts Dr. Jenny to update his course materials and teach his classes to dentists and physical therapists in the United States. She also teaches dry-needling courses worldwide.

Dr. Jenny has trained with the AOMT (Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy) and the IAOM (International Association of Orofacial Myology). She has studied under Dr. Lois Laynee in the Laynee Restorative Breathing Method TM and is a certified educator of the Buteyko breathing method, mentored by Patrick McKeown.

Dr. Jenny has given numerous lectures and presentations to peer organizations including the Chicago Dental Society and The American Academy of Orofacial Pain.

In addition to her experience, and expertise, Dr. Jenny enjoys helping her patients solve decades-long ailments stemming from incorrect breathing, swallowing, and postural patterns that can lead to TMJ, headaches, neck pain, facial pain, asthma, sleep apnea, and much more.
