Dr. Jenny Hobson interviews Lynett Putterman, a Black-Belt NIA (Neuromuscular Integrative Action) instructor, about her recovery from a spinal cord injury. Find out how NIA helped her get back to teaching dance 3 months post-injury, and how breathwork training from Dr. Hobson helped her recover her energy and improve circulation. The NIA Technique is a mind/body physical conditioning program that initially stood for Non-Impact Aerobics, evolved to include neurological integrative practices and teachings. It combines martial arts, modern dance arts, and yoga in a workout set to music.
